We are the Debordes—Jeremiah and Megan. For our growing family, returning to the land has always been more than a dream—it’s a way of life. Passel Hills Farm is nestled on a historic tobacco farm in the picturesque landscape of Franklin County, Virginia.
Originally owned by one of the oldest families in the county, the farm holds a rich heritage we’re proud to honor. Today, we’re helping restore a heritage breed of hogs once common across southeastern farms—a mission close to our hearts. What began as a small homestead has grown into a passion for education and creating unique, hands-on experiences for our visitors. Serving the communities of Roanoke, Botetourt, Franklin, and Bedford Counties, our farm on Smith Mountain Lake offers healthy, pasture-raised meats and eggs, free of chemicals.
Our market garden produces exceptional vegetables and no-spray, beyond-organic produce, rooted in sustainable farming practices. We’re excited to share our journey with you and welcome you to be a part of the Passel Hills Farm story.
Sustainably and Regeneratively Raised

No-Spray Produce
Our No Spray produce is grown without synthetic pesticides or harmful chemicals, using natural pest control and sustainable farming methods. While not certified organic, our practices prioritize health, flavor, and environmental sustainability, resulting in fresh, nutrient-rich vegetables with vibrant, natural taste.
Pastured Poultry
Our pasture-raised chickens live outdoors with access to fresh air, sunlight, and a natural diet of grass, insects, and non-GMO feed. Raised without antibiotics, hormones, or artificial enhancers, they thrive in a stress-free environment, resulting in leaner, more flavorful meat with superior taste and added health benefits like higher omega-3s and antioxidants.
Pastured Pork
Our pasture-raised pork comes from pigs that roam freely in open fields, enjoying fresh air, sunlight, and a natural diet of grass, forage, and non-GMO feed. Raised without antibiotics, hormones, or vaccines, our pigs live in a stress-free, natural environment, resulting in healthier, more flavorful pork.
